First Foundation Bank Offering Turbo Tax Online Tax Preparaton

First Foundation Bank clients now have access to the convenience and security of Turbo Tax's proven tax software directly from the First Foundation secure Private Access Online Banking Web site.

Bank clients who prepare their personal returns can access the Turbo Tax link through First Foundation, thereby integrating their tax return preparation with the myriad of other financial services offered to First Foundation clients.

"Savvy consumers understand the advantages and convenience of being able to access their banking needs from a single portal," said bank CEO Scott Kavanaugh. "We are pleased to add Turbo Tax to the full range of financial services available on the First Foundation site. It is another step in the integration of financial services our clients have come to expect from First Foundation."

Turbo Tax users may have their tax refunds deposited directly into their First Foundation account, eliminating the chance of lost or stolen refund checks, Kavanaugh said.

Turbo Tax offers taxpayers who prepare their own returns a straightforward and secure method of reporting and importing required information. The software's question-and-answer format prompts taxpayers to be alert for a wide range of deductions, whether the return is simple or complicated.

Using Turbo Tax at First Foundation is easy. Much of the data required to be entered can be seamlessly imported from widely used Quicken and QuickBooks accounting software programs. Taxpayers who used Turbo Tax last year are able to import important carryover transactions information from previous years. Even clients needing to file their federal and multiple state returns using Turbo Tax are able to use the First Foundation Turbo Tax site.

Many clients who prepare their own taxes will be able to use the "no cost" option provided by accessing the site. Those with more complex returns, including small business owners, will be able to purchase Deluxe, Premier and Home & Business versions online as well.

Each client's records are secure and accessible only to them. Turbo Tax stores user information on a firewall-protected server accessed only through a user name and password established by the client. First Foundation will not have access to clients' tax return data.

The application is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
